Review Luigis Mansion: Dark Moon (3DS) | GUFUyourself

Gagandeep Singh for GUFUyourself writes - "2001s Luigis Mansion allowed Luigi to finally take the spotlight away from his older, more successful brother. The Gamecube launch title, while charming, was unfortunately lacking, ultimately too simple, easy, and short to be anything memorable, or frankly worth a spin. Now, a dozen years later, Luigi finally gets another crack at the spot light with Luigis Mansion Dark Moon."

EpicDome: Luigis Mansion Dark Moon Review (2013, 3DS)

Wimke7 @ EpicDome: "Luigi sucks..ghosts, that is. Luigis Mansion is surely one of my favorite GameCube titles. It was a very original game that took Luigi out of the shadow of his older brother Mario. This time he traded in his platforming skills for ghost hunting and treasure seeking. The only flaw the game might have, in my opinion, is its length. The game could be completed in merely 15 hours. Has the sequel taken care of this problem? Maybe adding some new things to te mix? I let you find out in my review."

Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon Review - Gametactics

While Nintendos penchant for going back to the well of tried and true franchises has worn thin for many a gamer, its hard to fault their decision in bringing Luigi back to the forefront to the point of declaring it the Year of Luigi even. In this case, we revisit the neglected green plumbers lone starring role in a sequel to his 2001 GameCube title, Luigis Mansion. The 3DS version, subtitled Dark Moon, is obviously trying to reclaim the magic of its predecessor, which incidentally managed to be the most successful title on a relatively disappointing system. Its hard to argue that they havent, but while it overcomes some of the shortcomings of the original, theres still some flaws that linger and serve to keep Luigi in his brothers shadow as far as gaming perfection is concerned. Find out more when Michael LeParc of Gametactics reviews Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon for the 3DS.

While it might not be everyones kind of game, because of its relatively slow pacing and strange sense of humour, if youre a Luigi fan, or fond of Nintendos brand of strange humour, youll find a lot to enjoy with Luigis Mansion Dark Moon.

Its been about 12 years since the release of the original Luigis Mansion on the Nintendo Gamecube. What started off as a tech demo to show off the graphical and processing power of the Gamecube ended up being one of the consoles launch titles when it was shown off as a new game starring Marios twin brother Luigi in 2001. The year is now 2013 and Luigi is back once again in a direct sequel to the original 2001 title in Luigis Mansion Dark Moon for the Nintendo 3DS.
